Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm spans 500 hectares in Ethiopia's Guji zone, with 300 hectares dedicated to coffee. Owned by Ismael Hassen Aredo and his family since 2012, the farm is located 510 kilometres south of Addis Ababa, across Taro and Sewana villages. It employs 25 permanent and 300 seasonal workers, offering competitive wages to attract and retain labour amid mining industry competition. The farm emphasizes sustainability by using shade trees and natural compost. The farm supports the community with free transport and funding for schools and infrastructure.
